are based on intelligent multi-port serial cards used as a basis for multi
user business systems on personal computers and applications in the field of
process control.
During the mid to late nineties
business systems moved from being multi user to network based systems, as a
'proactive' player in the communications market TCL designed and developed a
range of Ethernet based products (NetPort) that provided direct connection to
networks and allow remote management and control of smart devices.
